Don't Make Me Get Dressed
Premiering Fall 2023!
Don’t Make Me Get Dressed is a show about the feelings we have when we choose our clothes… but also about when our clothes come to life and choose us. It explores how clothing transforms us, surprises us and makes us feel differently about ourselves and the world around us. We hide in our clothes; we are vulnerable in our clothes; we are empowered by our clothes. This theme of clothing will let us (sneakily!) reflect on, acknowledge and celebrate children's inner lives and their developing emotional intelligence. As always, this show serves The Gottabees’ mission of giving families a chance to have a shared experience of meaningful joy (which we feel families need more than ever, right now). |
The Creative Team:
Bonnie Duncan (lead artist/puppeteer-designer)
Penney Pinette (co-creator/materials & costume designer)
Dan Milstein (co-creator/director)
Brendan Burns (music composer/sound engineer/performer)
Anthony Leva (music composer/performer)
PLUS! The voices and silly sounds of over 40 children, ages 3-11, and adults who are lending their stories to this show. We'd love you to be part of our process so get in touch and we'll send along directions about how your family can be involved.
